St. Mary's University partner's with Dell to provide
laptops to its undergraduate students. The Dell Latitude C840
and Dell Latitude D600 laptops
are the only supported computers for online
courses.
The St. Mary's online program makes
extensive use of computer technologies to
achieve
its educational
goals.
Most
of the course
content is delivered to students through the Internet. You must be
familiar with your computer's operating system, the Internet, and
email. You should also have a solid working knowledge of Microsoft
Office. If you are a new computer user, you must have this base set
of skills before taking your first online course.
If you need immediate technical support, please contact
the HELP Desk at 210-431-4357. The HELP Desk's hours
are Monday — Friday from 8 am to 5 pm (Central Time). Or you can

- DSL is high-speed access through
your telephone line. (Example: SBC DSL)

through a cable line to your home. (Example: TimeWarner
RoadRunner)
